Drikshit SS- Way back to you (Chapter 4)

Chapter 4

“The fact is I’m not your friend, I’m Mrs Shergill.”
Rakshit smiled at how seriously she said the statement.
“I know and understand that, Drishti. I’m just giving us time. I know somewhere you’re attracted to me as well but you need time to get comfortable in this relationship and I’m willing to give you and our relationship that time.”
“So we are not friends? I don’t understand what you’re saying.” She asked
“I always said let’s start of as friends. Maybe in sometime we can go further. When you feel like. You don’t need to worry about Lavanya. I have already told her to not interfere in our life. Maa ko toh khair tumne sambhal liya hai.” He smiled
“I thought you were friend zoning me.” She said seriously
“I don’t want you to take any decisions on base on your insecurities because of Lavanya. Go change Mrs Shergill, I’m still here if you want to come back to me. For me, your comfort is of utmost importance.” He smiled
“But friends don’t sleep on the same bed and hug like this.”
“Well, there can be exceptions.” He winked and I blushed
“More of, now you’re are handling the pace of our relationship. It’s all on you. I’ll wait. I know my feelings and I want you to know yours soon. It’s a beautiful feeling, Drishti. But slightly painful.” He added
“I’ll be back”
Rakshit didn’t move at all and constantly had a smile on his face till Drishti came out. She again went to him and he gladly took her in his arms.
“Just seeing you make some efforts makes me feel like a huge burden has come off my heart.” He said
In response, she hugged him tighter and tried to sleep.

Rakshit
I know the sudden outburst is because of the engagement thing with Lavanya. But still makes me so happy to see her like this, near me.
Mai puri koshish karunga ki tumhe apna waqt de saku aur kisi din tum mere pass kisi aur ke dabaav se nai khud aaogi.
But, nothing can change the happiness I’m feeling right now. She is here with me and with her consent.

Drishti
I want to tell a lot more, Rakshit. It’s not all because of Lavanya. They are my feelings too. I realise that for one relation, I had put all my relationships in danger. Now that I have Divi with me also, I just need you to complete my family.
Shayad Divi ne sahi kaha tha. He deserves a lot more for what I put him through. The man who I called bedil for a long period poured his heart and feelings to me sometimes by hints and sometimes by actions. He deserves all the attention I can ever give him. What did I do to deserve him? Maybe god is finally compensating for taking away my family so horribly.

Rakshit and Drishti indeed had a good sleep which could be seen on their faces at the breakfast table. Divya winked at Drishti to which she just shook her head. Rakshit noticed this and felt good that finally Drishti had started gelling up with people in the family, more importantly his family.
Rakshit straightaway went to their room to get his pending work done. Romi joined Divya and Drishti for a while and they had a amazing time. The day had been pretty fast for Drishti and she was having too much fun with the wedding preparations in the house. Simran’s in laws were coming for shagun today. The whole house was busy.
Rakshit on the other side had been working continuously in the room secretly hoping Drishti would come and they could some alone time. He wasn’t expecting a lot but a simple conversation with her also made his day. Slightly upset that Drishti didn’t show up, he continued to work. The last he saw her was at lunch where she was sitting beside him but continuously talking to Romi. Understandably, she had met him after long, Rakshit sighed. After another 2 hrs of working he finally took a break.
“I’ll just go fetch a glass of water and see where is Mrs Shergill. She didn’t even come up to use the washroom.” He wondered
Rakshit went down to see a beautiful sight in front of him.

Rakshit
There she was. With maa. Looks like maa is teaching her how to make rangoli.
“She has played a mini holi with herself as well” he laughed
Maa and Mrs Shergill looked so happy. She just laughed on something maa said. What can I even want more? The two most important women in my life together and having a great time. I almost was tearful when I sensed someone behind me.
“Ab toh bol do bhai.” Shikhar sighed
“Sahi waqt aane pe keh dunga” he smiled
“Oohooooo acceptance!!! Going breat bhai!”
“It was always there Shikhar. Who knows that better than you? Thanks for putting me in a situation where was forced to marry her.” He laughed
“Your always welcome bhai! Didn’t I tell you that you would thank me later?” He winked
“Jaa kuch kaam kar” Rakshit smiled
“Hum toh kar hi rahe hai, aap hi subah se office ghar le aaye ho. Waise bhai, aaj doctor aaye hai Divya aur Drishti ka check up karne. Divya ka checkup ho rha hai. Aap bhabhi ko bhi keh do. Mai doctor ko phir aapke kamre mein bhejta hoon.”
“Ok Shikhar mai kehta hoon” He assured
Rakshit went to Mahima and Drishti. They looked at him and smiled together.
“Bahut sundar rangoli hai.” Rakshit complimented
“Hogi kaise nai? Maine aur meri bahu ne pehli baar koi kaam saath kiya hai, sundar toh hona hi tha na? Haina Drishti beta?” Mahima said excited
“Of course maa” Drishti smiled to which Rakshit smiled widely
“Vo actually Shikhar keh rha tha doctor aaye hai Divya aur tumhare check up ke liye, so I’ll be taking your Drishti beta from you for a while.” He smiled
“Haa haa jao jao. Health se important kuch nai.” Mahima smiled
“Chale?” Rakshit gave his hand to her which she gladly held and got up.

The lady doctor was already waiting outside their room. They went inside and the doctor insisted Rakshit to be there. Rakshit had tried moving from there as he knew the wound was near her shoulder and chest but obviously he couldn’t explain the doctor and she was right also in her way. As the doctor pulled the zip of the kurti slightly down to check the wound, Rakshit had got all nervous.
“It’s ok Rakshit. It’s not paining that much. Come sit near me.” Drishti smiled
Rakshit was truly shocked. She had allowed him silently. He silently went to the other side of the bed and Drishti held his hand and looked at him and smiled. He smiled at her assuring her.
“You guys are really cute. No wonder she has recovered quickly. But, there will be slight pain in the right shoulder for some days.” Doctor smiled and said
“That’s it right? Any more care? She has fully recovered right?” Rakshit asked
“Yes she has recovered fully. In fact both the girls are really strong. Just slight pains as I said. Prescribed painkillers should be ok. Just go slow in your intimate moments.” Doctor smiled at Rakshit and left.
Rakshit and Drishti smiled at each other awkwardly. Both of them got ready for Simran’s shagun. Rakshit in his blue suit and Drishti in navy blue saree.

Both of them were pretty busy during the function though it was a really small function of exchanging some gifts.
It was a long day for both them so they went to their room straight away as the guests left. Rakshit went to change first and Drishti rested on the bed.
“Mr Shergill, can you please pass me the painkillers? It’s painful.” Drishti said as she saw Rakshit come out of the washroom.
“Ek second. You didn’t have the painkillers and overworked yourself too. You’re amazing.” Rakshit said sarcastically
Rakshit came near Drishti and gave her a slight massage where it was painful then gave her the painkillers.
“Chahti kya ho tum?” He asked slightly angry now
“Bata dungi. Please close the doors and windows.” She said and he did as she said understandingly
He came back to her and sat near her.
“Kuch keh rai thi tum.”
“Bata doon?”
“Ab toh bata hi do”
He remembered the last time when they had the same conversation in reverse. He scolded his one track mind and concentrated on Drishti.
Drishti was already looking at him. There was something different in her eyes and he could feel it. Slowly she shifted herself closer to him and kissed his left cheek. Rakshit closed his eyes slightly shocked and pleased. She looked at him. He looked so pure. His eyes closed and waiting for her. She kissed his right cheek and then looked at him. He opened his eyes and this time he could read her eyes.
Finally, Rakshit got it where Drishti was taking things since long. He was a fool. Drishti looked down slightly embarrassed but Rakshit made her look at him.
“What’s next Mrs Shergill?” He asked huskily
“Please Mr Shergill. I know you know everything.” She said as her eyes looked down again
“Please Mrs Shergill.” He made her look at her again
This time she couldn’t take it. She saw the love, longing and anticipation in his eyes. She was so lost in him that she didn’t realise when she went ahead and placed her lips on his.

Chapter 3

“Ummmm...Maybe this time, you kiss him.”
“Kya bol rai Divi! Tu pagal toh nai hogai?” Drishti said a bit loudly
“Issmein pagal hone ki kya baat hai? Husband hai aapke. It’s not like you guys haven’t kissed before! It’s fine Di! Go ahead!”
“Haa Divi sahi toh tu bol rai hai par maine tuje bataya na hamare rishtey ke circumstances.”
“Well, when he kissed you the circumstances were the same. If he can kiss you to break the ice why can’t you?”
“Kuch aur bhi toh soch na”
“See, aapke patidev subtle toh le hi nai rahe. Aapko kuch bold step hi lena padega. Warna sedhe sedhe jaake kehdo ki you love him. Waise, last one seems to be the easiest looking at your face now.” Divya laughed at her sisters expense
“Keh doon?”
“Haa di kehdo aur agar na ho paye toh atleast apne mein change dikhao. Be extra close to him. Confuse him. Khud hi puch lega.”
“Really? I’ll try that.”
“Of course Di goes with the easiest! Di aapka kya hoga. Jiju toh kaafi fast lagte hai. Jab unhe pata chal jayega toh phir toh woh aapke aur bhi paas aayege. Tab kya karogi?” Divya teased Drishti
“Tab dekh lungi theek hai. Zyada bakwaas mat kar.”

Drishti went to the kitchen to make herself some lemon water where she saw Mahima.
“Maa, I mean ma’am, mai chai bana doon?”
“Koi zarurat nai hai”
“Ma’am please, aapne hi toh kaha tha aapne muje apnane ki koshish ki hai par shayad mujse hi kami reh gai hogi. Please ek aur mauka. Bado ka toh farz hota hai na choto ko maaf karna? Aap shadi se pehle mujse kitna pyaar karte the. I really miss you ma’am. Please.”
Mahima let her make tea for herself and stood there near her understanding Drishti’s words.
“Tumne lunch kiya?” Mahima asked slowly
“Ji vo I thought Rakshit ke saath karungi but vo jaldi chale gaye shayad lunch ke liye bhi nai aayenge.” Drishti said slightly sad and hopeful.
“Chalo maine bhi nai kiya. Mai egg fry bana deti hoon. Abhi kuch light khana chahiye itni chot lagi thi.”
“Nahi ma’am, mai bana deti hoon.”
“Nahi. Tum chai pe concentrate karo. Ghar wahi hota hai jahan sab saath rahe ek dusre ka haath bataye.” Mahima smiled and Drishti was tearful.
“Ji maa” Drishti smiled
Mahima and Drishti had their lunch silently. Divya joined them and looked towards Drishti and smiled.

“Actually Drishti, vo tumne muje vo sab donate karne ke liye cheezein di thi na, unmeinse ye nikla hai.”
“Ye kya hai Divya?” Drishti asked
“Seems to be your kundli. Issliye dikhane le aayi. Waise, sorry maine dekhli! Hamari birth dates same hai.” Divya said excitedly
“Kya kundli? Dikhao” Mahima took the kundli and was so happy
“Maa vo pata nai kaise. Muje pata nai tha”
“Koi baat nai mai abhi panditji ko bula leti hoon. Aur tum dono ki birthdates same hai matlab tum mean rashi ho. Aaj bahut aacha din hai beta.” Mahima excitedly went to call panditji.
“Matter solved.” Divya smiled
“Divi ye tune, kuch nai hoga Di! Aur jahan tak Rakshit ki baat hai aapko unhe apne dil ki baat batate hi bata dena chaiye. Humne apni foster families ko bhi toh bataya hai na toh ye toh aapke husband hai. Shikhar ko bhi toh pata hai.”
“Shayad tu theek hi keh rai hai.”
“Haa aur badi maa ko patate ka ye sure shot tarika hai. Agar meri kundli match hui toh aapki toh 100% hogi. Aakhir aap dono made for each other jo hai!” Divya laughed

The whole day went by in Simran’s wedding preparations. Drishti-Divya were enjoying the wedding feels in the house, giggling around and having fun. Rakshit just entered the house and found Divya running behind a laughing Drishti. He smiled looking at the happiness on Drishti’s face after such a long time. Drishti saw Rakshit and ran to him.

“Save me Mr Shergill! This girl is crazy.”
“Hahahhahaha crazy toh mai hoon. Aur aaj chodungi bhi nai”

Both the sisters started running around Rakshit making him slightly panic that atleast one of them will get hurt. Divya smartly caught Drishti hugged her from the back put the red colour on her palms on Drishti’s face and pushed her towards Rakshit.
“YAYYYY! I win!” Shouted Divya and ran away
Drishti fell into Rakshit’s arms and he held her tightly.
“You ok?” He asked
“Hmm” she answered
Drishti looked up in his eyes to find him already looking at her calmly. She stood there in that position for slightly longer than required. It wasn’t like Rakshit really tired to move. He was in the moment as well but he remembered his words where he had decided to give her time and he straightened himself and her.
“Sorry” He said
“Kyu” she questioned
“Kuch nai. Tumhari aur Divya ki kaafi dosti ho gai hai.”
“Haa vo achi ladki hai. Dil ki saaf hai.”
“Par tumhe toh bilkul pasand nai thi?”
“Aapke liye pasand nai thi. Kyunki aapke liye toh mai hoon. Haina?” She said in a flow and then bit her tongue
Rakshit was shocked to hear her confession but just smiled and nodded. He excused himself went to the room. Drishti continued her work for the preparations and then ate her dinner with Mahima who seemed really happy today. She took some food and went to the room to find him already resting to sleep.
“Khana nai khana? Are you ok?” She asked worried
“Vo actually kaam zyada ho gaya hai na. Mrs Sher.... I mean Drishti can you please get me something light. I don’t think I can manage all this.”
“Ji.”
“Tumne khaya na?”
“Haa. Aaj maa khafi ache mood mein thi mere saath unhi ke saath. Humne aapke bachpan ki bahut baatein bhi ki.”
“Really? Kya jadoo kiya tumne?”
“It’s a women to women secret” she winked

Rakshit
I was over clouds today. I’m not a fool to not notice the changes in Mrs Shergill.
“Mrs Shergill! Ahh I can call her that atleast when she isn’t around!”
I was loving this new version of her. I feel important in her life. If being her friend, makes her more comfortable with me, be it. I’ll do all its needed to make it work. If it means I have to just be her friend for a long period of time. I’m ok with that also. I wonder if love is just tough for me or for everyone.

Drishti came with a vegetable sandwich and lemon water. He ate in silence. Later, went to the washroom and prepared to sleep as he was too tired.
“Every night he is tired. How am I supposed to tell or do anything in this case.” Drishti sighed
Rakshit came near her and slept beside her. She also went from sitting to sleeping position.
“Tumhe change nai karna?” He asked
“I don’t feel like. It’s been long we have talked Rakshit.” She said
He looked at her surprised
“You have started calling me Drishti, so I can call you Rakshit as well right?”
“Of course you can. We talk everyday Drishti.” he smiled
“Not that. About us. You’re always tired these days so I didn’t want to..you know...force a conversation.”
“It’s never tiring to talk to a friend right? Tell me.”
Drishti turned towards him, put her head on his extended arm and hugged him from the side. Rakshit was highly surprised by Drishtis move, but did not object anything. He felt some tears on his shoulder.
“What’s wrong?” He asked calmly
“No one except Romi has cared for me this much in my life.”
“Life is long Drishti. We find people. It was time we find each other and we did. Right?”
“Mr Shergill” she looked at him now calm but stern
“Yes?”
“We are not friends. In fact, we never were. We are a lot more than friends and I wish it stays that way.”
“Drishti...” he started
“The fact is I’m not your friend, I’m Mrs Shergill.”

Chapter 2

Drishti was working in the kitchen preparing Rakshit’s favourite dishes to impress him and show how involved she is with him to everyone in the family. Rakshit had been avoiding Drishti since the morning conversation and Drishti hoped the food could help his mood. She took slightly longer as she was in the kitchen after a really long time but still she was happy and content making food for him. Today, she felt like doing everything for him. Generally, she wouldn’t be the kind of person who would go cook for someone with so much love. She had always done it as a responsibility towards the family which had adopted her.
It was dinner time and everyone gathered in the living room. Drishti served everyone with utmost care and they loved her food. Rakshit didn’t even show up for the dinner. She was highly disappointed. She hadn’t seen Rakshit around for long thus had kept her and his food differently.

Drishti
“My god! Nakhre toh dekho! Dinner pe bhi nai aaye. Saari mehnat waste.”
“Idea!”
I bought a mini table from the store room and decorated it with food and then shifted it towards the recliner in order to make it a perfect dinner date. I quickly showered and changed into a saree hoping he would like it. I then bought some candles and put it near the table when I heard his footsteps. I quickly lit the candles, turned off the lights and closed the doors.

Rakshit opened the door to darkness. He wondered where Drishti was if not here. He came in and saw the table set with food and candles around the table. He smiled.
“Did Mrs Shergill do this for me?” He said out loud
“Aapke room mein arrangements kisi aur ke liye kaise ho sakte hai Mr Shergill?”
“Aaj mujpe ye meherbani kyu?” He asked softly
“Puri evening baith ke aapke pasand ka khana banaya aur aap dinner pe bhi nai aaye.” She said calmly
“Aur tumne aisa kyu kiya?”
“Aapko nai pata? Aap toh khete hai ki aap samajte hai.” She came closer to him
“I’m hungry” he said slowly
She involuntarily went even more closer making him smirk.
“For food” he added
With a jerk, Drishti got back to herself.
“Haa haa set hi karke de rai thi” she tried to cover up
“Already set hai” he smiled amusingly
“Haa haa chaliye”
“Hmm”
Drishti hadn’t expected Rakshit to be so sweet. She thought he would still throw some tantrums. They smiled at each and had the food in silence.
“It’s tasty. Thanks for the efforts!” Rakshit smiled
“Anytime Mr. Shergill!” She replied
“Ohhoo I forgot the dessert. I’ll be right back.” She left the room in a hurry

Rakshit
I blushed looking at the room. It was such a romantic set up. Did she just do this to make my mood better or this was a step towards me? I think I’m overthinking this. She clearly told me she doesn’t like coming closer to me. That night when I kissed her, for me it was the most beautiful and valuable moment of my life.  But if she doesn’t feel that way I can’t help it. Atleast she is making efforts to keep our relationship alive. I’m just glad about that. Maybe she needs more time to understand our equation and I shall give it to her.
I feel so happy today. I feel like our relationship got a way! I can’t wait to have dessert with my wife.

Drishti entered the room with 2 bowls of gajar ka halwa. Clearly she couldn’t handle the saree and bowls together so Rakshit went to her and bought the bowls to the table and let her be comfortable.
“Maa told me it’s your favourite once before marriage. I hope you like it.” Drishti smiled
“Who told you?” He almost felt like he misheard
“Can’t I call your maa mine? If you’re not comfortable it’s fine. Sorry I should’ve....” she looked down
“No no that’s not what I meant. I was just.... ummm... shocked. Technically she is your maa as well.” He smiled
“I really appreciate you did all this to make everything good between us. I know we don’t live like husband and wife but of course we can live like atleast good roommates. I will also from now on try to control my temper. You don’t have to do anything which you aren’t comfortable with. I realised I crossed the line once, I misunderstood but it won’t happen again. We can start off again as friends right?” He added
“Rakshit aisi baat nai hai. Mai vo.. friends? I mean... of course we can be friends but we are married you know. I mean... do you understand me?” She tried to reply getting worried about how he had taken things.
“Umm.. I think you’re confused. I’ll wait for your answer. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a married couple being friends. I told you what I feel. You’re free to tell me what’s on your mind whenever you’re clear. For now I’ll go change it’s been a long day. Thanks for the dinner, it made my day. You look pretty too, Drishti!” He said and went to the washroom to change

Drishti
“Drishti? From Mrs Shergill to Drishti? What’s wrong with him? Friends? Is he crazy? It won’t happen again? Why? Roommates? Is he kidding me? Moreover he tells me that am not clear? How about him not understanding the whole set up? How clear should I get?”
I sat on the bed upset. I knew it was all because of Psachini. If she hadn’t disturbed us that night. I wouldn’t have pushed him and he wouldn’t assume all this.
“Where have I got myself?”
“One moment I feel like Awwing him for how understanding he is being on the other side my god how do I explain him.”
“Generally, guys take the first step and here I am”
“He took the first step. I ruined it. I’m stupid.”
I got up in a jerk and pallu of saree went down. The saree had been pissing me off since long. I couldn’t even pin it properly as he was already here. I hastily tied it again.
“What’s the whole point?” I nearly shouted
Rakshit seems to have been standing there since long.
“I didn’t know you’re changing here” Rakshit said awkwardly.
“No just was in a hurry so didn’t get the time to pin it so it’s annoying me now! It’s ok it keeps on happening with roommates”  she forced a smile and left to change.
Thankfully none of us changed the sleeping settings. We were very much comfortable without the pillows. Rakshit was already sleeping when she came back.
“He looked tired” Drishti went near him kissed his forehead and slept off near him.
Next day before Drishti could wake up, Rakshit had left for office. She found a note near her side table.
“Have to catch up for all the holidays I recently have been taking. See you in the evening. Have a good day, Drishti!”
“Have a good day, Drishti! My foot good day”  she repeated like him
“What’s up Di? Mood kyun off hai? Kiski chithi? Oooooo” Divya made a unannounced entry.
Divya took the letter from Drishti’s hand and read it.
“Aww Di it’s so cute! Why are you sad?”
“He wants to be friends, Divi! I don’t know what to tell him.. I organised such a romantic dinner yesterday night but all vain. HE WANTS TO BE FRIENDS!”
“What? After a romantic date? What am I missing here?”
“Actually...”
Drishti explained most of her moments and arguments with Rakshit to Divya. Divya calmly listened understanding her sisters frustration.
“OMG you guys kissed!!! But why did you push him?”
“Psachini was seeing us”
“Uggghh evil lady cannot let us romance also shanti se. Ye kya life hai! Di in this situation, you have made him feel unwanted so you have to only give him a direct hint.”
“But how?”
“Ummmm...Maybe this time, you kiss him.”

Drikshit SS- Way back to you (Chapter 1)

Ps - Point of views are going to be in italics.

Chapter 1

Rakshit
I entered the room late at night and the sight I saw I wish I could see forever. Mrs Shergill has removed the pillow wall between us and was fast asleep almost on my side clutching my pillow. I couldn’t stop blushing. Things she could do to me. I slipped on to my side of the bed. Her being so near to me makes me crazy. But I could I feel that she had missed me so without a second thought I kept my arms around her comfortably and I saw her smile in her sleep. After years it was a good night.

Drishti
I woke up around 6 am as I felt thirsty to find myself in his arms.
“My god”
It was a wonderful feeling. We hadn’t slept so close before. It’s driving me crazy and I know he is isn’t going to help me out after I told him that night that he forced himself on me. I removed his arms and went to my side to drink some water.
“Nerve of the man to make Lavanya wear the ring and then come to me like nothing happened?” I muttered under my breath.
“Let’s not right now” I said to myself and slipped in the duvet near him putting my arms and legs around him making myself absolutely comfortable. After years, I felt I was home.

Rakshit
I was the first one to wake up. Drishti was all over me. I couldn’t even move. Our faces so near I wished to peck her lips but I knew the time wasn’t correct. I was so content at the moment as if I had my world in my arms which I kind of did.
Suddenly the previous day came back to me. Mrs Shergill not being there with me. Me making Lavanya wear the ring. Mrs Shergill and Divya being injured.
“I should have not” I cried in frustration.
She obviously couldn’t make it because she was injured. Maybe while she was coming to me this all happened. How could I do this to my wife? I’m not dad. I won’t leave her unless she leaves me. It’s not like the ring I made her wear has any kind of importance as I’m already married but still I felt it’s unethical from the bottom of my heart.
The truth is I knew who my bride was when I got married. It was my consent. I was kind of happy with the bride swap to be very honest. How would I have her with me otherwise? I can’t  imagine her with Shikhar at all. I need to have a chat with mom and Lavanya that it’s our decision on what pace our relationship moves. I don’t want any interference. I kept my hand on her head. I could see her smile in her sleep. She was so content. I wish I see this all my life.

It was around 10am when Drishti woke up  and shouting Rakshit’s name. In few minutes, the whole family was in her room and also Rakshit who was showering had come out.
“Kya hua Mrs Shergill?” Rakshit ran to her
“Kuch nai bura sapna tha bas” Drishti said
“Jaake kapde pehen lijiye please. It’s not only us here” she added
Rakshit understandingly changed and came back. Divya was already sitting near Drishti and asking if everything is alright.
Lavanya rolled her eyes to the family who was really worried for Drishti today. She turned around to leave when she heard Drishti call her name.
“Lavanya, I think you have something which is mine.” Drishti said calmly
“What are you even saying Miss PA? Have you already lost it?” Lavanya rolled her eyes
“Rakshit is still my husband. That ring doesn’t belong on your finger.” Drishti walked over to Lavanya and put forward her hand.
“That’s absolutely true. Drishti can actually go to the police regarding this. It’s illegal.” Divya added.
Lavanya glared at both the sisters and put the ring on Drishti’s palm.
To say, Rakshit was stunned was an understatement. He was anyway going to tell off Lavanya but Drishti doing that made him feel important in her life. Seeing Rakshit smile from behind all the family members  except Mahima smiled and left.
“Chahti kya ho tum? Mere bete ko khush nai dekh sakti?” Mahima shouted
“Shayad aap hi apne bete ki khushi nai dekh sakti ma’am.” Drishti said calmly and walked over to the bed folding the single duvet.
“Pati pati ki banti bhi hai aur pati pati ka rishta bhi hai.” Drishti smiled at Mahima who was stunned and went to the washroom.
“Rakshit ye” she started
“Sahi keh rai hai vo. Muje mentally pressure karna band kijiye. Meri khushi Lavanya ke saath nai hai.” He said with finality
Mahima left the room worried.
Rakshit fell on the bed like a love sick puppy staring at the ceiling with the dreamy smile.
“What the hell is happening?”
As he heard the knob of the washroom open he straightened himself completely and stared at her. She finally came to him took his hand and put the ring on his palm.
“Throw it, sell it or donate it I don’t want to ever see this ring. It should be out of my house.”
Drishti didn’t wait for a answer. She was really pissed at the moment. How could he even in his weakest moments think of breaking the relationship.

Drishti went to Divya straight. Divya hadn’t recovered fully. She still needed rest but being the person she is she was continuously moving around.
“Divi recover karle phir kar jo karna hai.” Drishti pleaded
“Oh Di mai bore ho gai hoon even Shikhar is on my head. Mann toh kiya uska jadoo se muh band kardu par powers bhi nai chal rhe.” Divya whined
“Divi please mere liye”
Divya came to her bed and promised her that she rest properly until she recovered.
“Divi muje kuch kehna tha”
“Ki aap use Lavanya ka khoon karna chahti hai. Ya ya I know.” She laughed
“Ki mai Mr Shergill ko chodna nai chahti.”
“Chodna bhi nai chahiye di. Aap dono saath hi belong karte hai.”
“Sachi?” Drishti’s eyes twinkled
“Muchi” Divya hugged her sister.
Sisters kept on talking about a lot of things after that. Divya did give a lots of tips on how to make a man run behind you. Drishti smiled knowing this was her time to take a step towards him.

After after a good chat with her sister, Drishti moved back to her room to avoid all the family drama for today. Rakshit made his entry in the room few mins after her and straight away went to the washroom not even looking at her.
“ I need to talk.” Drishti started
“I thought you don’t consider me enough to share your mind with Mrs Shergill.” Rakshit snapped
“Maine aapse uss din kaha tha ki agar aapko mujse divorce chahiye to keh dijiye. Aise cheat mat kariye.” Drishti walked to him
“Maine bhi kaha tha ki muje divorce nai chahiye. Hamara rishta aage badhane ki koshish bhi ki thi, par tum I don’t know what’s on your mind.” Rakshit turned around to face Drishti
“Meri majboori thi Mr Shergill. Par mere itne nasdeek aane ke baad aapki himmat kaise hui Lavanya ko ring pehnane ki?”
“Meri bhi majboori hi thi. Waise bhi iss rishte mein sabse zyada mai hi invested hoon. Tum nahi. Kabhi nahi karta mai aisa. Issliye nahi ki tumhe bura lagega, issliye kyunki meri zindagi mein iss rishte iss shadi ke bahut mayne hai.” He pointed towards Drishti and then him
“Toh phir kyu?” Her eyes slightly watering
“Galti ho gai mujse. Tumhare hote hue muje aisa nai karna chahiye tha. Mai gusse mein tha ki tumne apna faisla le liya aur muje nai chuna par ye baat bhi sach hai ki jab tak hamara rishta hai meri zindagi mein aur koi nai hoga.”
“Aap mujse alag hona chahte hai?”
“Alag toh tum mujse hona chahti ho. Aur shayad sahi hai. Hamare beech na bharosa hai na pyaar. Haina?” Rakshit left from the room not being able to handle the situation anymore. He was tired of constant complex situations in his life.
He wanted to be loved, but only by her. To him, it seemed impossible. She didn’t trust him with her life was enough to break Rakshit’s heart.
Drishti stood there with tears in her eyes. He didn’t want to. He was right. He had always respected their relationship. Even after whatever arguments they used to have he always stuck by her. It’s time she sticks by him.
