Chapter 6
“I can see future and Divi can change the future.”
“What?? What do you mean?” Rakshit managed to say
“We have special powers, Rakshit and that is why the evil power Pshachini wants to kill us and take our powers.” She added
“You have powers? How is this possible? Why didn’t you tell me this before?”
“I know it’s not a very human thing. We are just born with it. But after whatever happened our powers aren’t working. I need the kaal vijayratna to get our powers back.”
“What? I don’t understand. What’s kaal vijayratna now?”
Drishti with all her patience told him everything about them, guriji, her parents and the evil power. Rakshit was shocked by the revelations but he decided to support Drishti.
“So that ek aankh wali aurat is Psachini?” He asked
“Yes”
“She killed my father too it seems now. I always thought they had an affair.” He sighed disappointed in himself.
“She is very smart Rakshit! She would have portrayed that! It’s not your fault.” She hugged him tightly.
“I’m not going to repeat the mistake. Nothing will happen to you or Divya. I’m with you.” He said as he broke the hug and cupped her face tearful.
“Thank you Mr Shergill.” She kissed his forehead.
At night Drishti, Divya, Rakshit, Shikhar and Romi went to the shiv mandir together to get help from the kaal vijayratna.
Drishti touched it but nothing worked.
“I think you both should touch it together.” Romi said
As both Divya Drishti touched the ratna, they felt a current go through them. Drishti’s third eye opened and Divya could see her powers in her hands. Both of them hugged each other and kept the ratna at its place and left for home.
“For how long did you know this?” Rakshit asked Shikhar
“Pretty long. I’m sorry bhai. It’s not safe for all to know. Bhabhi couldn’t lie anymore and your relationship was at stake so she wanted everything clear. We should take care. The girls have powers to save themselves, we don’t. It’s better we stay with them mostly during this.” Shikhar explained
“I would have never imagined” Rakshit sighed
“I know it’s difficult. Bhabhi was really anxious if you would accept her the way she is. Go be with her.” Shikhar added
“You also come Divya is also there. Take her.” Rakshit said
“Why? You need privacy? Forget about it! They are going to be glued to each other.” Shikhar laughed
“Not that way.” Rakshit blushed
The brothers reached the room to find the sisters happily discussing something.
“Tum dono hass rai ho? Kuch decide nai karna? Psachini ko kaise maarna hai?” Shikhar asked
“First of all, discussion start karne se pehle darwaza band kiya karo.” Said Divya and closed the doors using her powers.
Both Rakshit and Shikhar were slightly scared seeing the door shut loudly behind them.
“Oh hello! You have powers don’t show off. Thoda aaram se ok? Hum normal insaan hai yahaan.” Shikhar said in one go.
“What do you mean hum insaan nai hai?” Divya got up looking straight at him
“Tum toh definitely nahi lagti. Constantly apni powers se muje torture karti aa rai ho. Chahe vo room ho ya pool.” Shikhar sighed
“Pool pe Psachini thi ok. Well,for once she did good. Pata nai kya hai meri kismat mein ki tumse pala pada hai.” Divya retorted
“Sahi kaha mera hi dimaag kharab ho gaya tha.” Shikhar said slowly
“KYA KAHA TUMNE? Tumhe toh abhi dikhati hoon!” Divya almost shouted
With that, Divya put her hands in the air and all the things in the room were in the air.
“OH MY GOD DIVYA/DIVI” said both Rakshit and Drishti shouted together.
All the random things one by one were over Shikhar’s head.
“Omg Patidev, gira doon?” Diviya asked sweetly
“Dekho Divya no. Please no..” said Shikhar running around the room with the things on his head following him.
Divya was having a wonderful time being back to her powerful self.
“Divi neeche rakh” Drishti said
“Pehle isse bolo mujse theek se baat kare” Divya said
“Bhabhi dekho na hamesha ka hai ye.” Shikhar complained
“Complain karega?” Divya glared at him and a pen holder fell on his head.
Rakshit silently went near the bed and sat next to Drishti. He was just amused by the happenings around him. He didn’t know if he should actually laugh or feel bad about his brother.
“Wait! Drishti has the same powers right?” Rakshit wondered
Drishti’s loud voice bought Rakshit out of his thoughts.
“DIVI BAS! SAB NEECHE RAKH! Mere room mein tabahi mat macha.”
Being a obedient little sister, she put everything down on the floor and Shikhar took a deep breath and relaxed.
“Mumma ne kaha tha na powers ka galat isstemal nai karna hai? Ye kya kar rai hai tu?” Drishti reminded
“Oh Di itna toh chalta hai. Aur bada shock tha na mere patidev banne ka toh sahe.” Divya glared at Shikhar
“Thanks bhabhi” Shikhar piped in
“Kitni tabahi macha di” Drishti looked at the room and then at Rakshit guiltily.
“That’s no problem.” Divya quickly made Drishti and then with her powers within seconds the room was back to normal.
Divya’s powers were so fast that not only Rakshit and Shikhar even Drishti was slightly taken aback.
“Divi Divi tera kuch nai ho sakta.” Drishti sighed
“Chalo ab discuss kare finally?” Shikhar asked as nicely as possible
“Of course honey” Divya smiled sweetly to which both Drishti and Rakshit burst out laughing.
Divya- Drishti told Shikhar and Rakshit about the Psachini’s human ashes which were needed to kill her. They explained everything they saw and understood with the help of rahasya tara. Drishti mentioned that a while back Romi had called and told that he’s found a similar place and they shall go there to check. All of the decided their meeting time for the next day and retired to their respective rooms.
Drishti locked the door after both of them left and sighed
“My god! Ye dono bhi na.”
“Acha hua yaar tum aake mandap pe baith gai.” Rakshit said with a straight face, then looked at Drishti and both of them burst out laughing.
“Bach hi gaye.” Drishti smiled
“Waise tumhare paas bhi same powers hongi na?”
“Nahi mai sirf future dekh sakti hoon aur logo ke andaar ka chal raha hai padh sakti hoon.”
“Iska matlab tum bata sakti ho ki abhi mai kya soch raha hoon?”
“Of course”
“Toh batao”
Drishti kept her hand on rakshits forehead and then blushed and looked at him.
“What?” He asked
“Kya Rakshit aap bhi.” She blushed
“No tell me.”
“Your answer is I don’t know. I seriously don’t know. My parents didn’t have any powers. We were born with it. Maybe our children might get the powers but I’m not fully sure.”
“Omg I might have children with superpowers. Omg just imagine.”
“Why are you talking about kids now?” Drishti blushed and looked down.
“Arre family planning bhi toh zaruri hoti haina.”
“Really Rakshit” she rolled her eyes
“That reminds me, how is your wound?”
“Umm.. it’s not there anymore. Touching kaal vijayratna heals Divi and me.”
“I love this kaal vijay thing”
“Kaal vijayratna”
“It takes time Mrs Shergill.”
Rakshit and Drishti stared at each other for a brief moment. Rakshit shifted more towards her while never breaking the eye lock.
“So you’re perfectly fine now?” He asked
“Hmm” she answered and looked down
“Can I?” He asked as he made her look at her again
Drishti nodded shyly and he pressed his lips to hers. She fell on the bed with his force. Both of them were finally content that there was nothing hidden between them now. They were one and wished to one in every sense now.
“I love you Mrs Shergill! My Drishti!” Rakshit said as they parted.
Rakshit kissed her forehead and she whispered
“I love you more Mr Shergill! My Rakshit or Rakshit sir” she laughed
“Don’t call me sir atleast in this moment, Mrs. Shergill.”
Drishti just giggled and the saw the open window.
“Mr Shergill please close the window”
“No one can see us from there Drishti! I don’t feel like leaving you” He said as he kissed the side of her neck.”
“The first time you kissed me Psachini saw us from the window. That is why I had to push you. I cannot let her know that I love you.” She cupped his face
“WHAT?” He looked straight at her
“Yes. Go shut the window. Or I don’t mind waiting.” She tried to get up
“No no. Wait I’ll shut it.” He got up and Drishti smiled
As he closed the window and turned around he saw Drishti throwing her hand in the air and calling him.
“I miss you. Come back.” Drishti sulked
“Woah!! And you said you can wait.” He laughed
“This is the first time I have someone all for myself. Only mine. Where I don’t have to think before speaking. I don’t have to be responsible around you. Rakshit, you have no idea how much I love you.” She spoke in his hears as he joined her on the bed hugging her.
“You are the first and last women of my life, Drishti !” Rakshit said as he broke the hug and looked at her with love
“What about that Lavanya?” Drishti rolled her eyes
“It was a relationship I was forced into. Maa wanted me to marry her because I knew her since long. We never even kissed in 2 years of our relationship and here I can’t get enough of you.” He laughed
“For me also Rakshit, you are the very first and last man in my life. I don’t think even if you leave me I’m capable of loving someone else now.” Drishti looked at him and pecked his lips.
“It’s never going to happen Mrs. Shergill” Rakshit pulled her to himself.
“Can I?” Rakshit asked her as his hand found his way to the dori of the Pom Pom dress.
“I said yes once already. Why do you keep on embarrassing me.” Drishti put her head in his chest not facing him.
“It’s nothing embarrassing, it’s love Drishti which you feel for me.”
“I know I know” she hugged him tightly and he only laughed at her.
Finally, Rakshit and Drishti consummated their marriage after months of fights, misunderstandings, confusion and love. Drishti hugged him tightly as tears of joy left her eyes. Rakshit kissed her eyes and put a blanket over them so they could comfortably sleep off the first time as a man and wife.
Next morning, Rakshit woke first and that’s when it kicked in. Yesterday was real. They were together.
Rakshit
Unbelievable! Who had that we would be together like this after all the fights and misunderstandings we had. What a fool was I to think that my love was one sided.
Suddenly I feel I have everything in this world. My family is complete. The woman I love is in my arms. If some days back someone would have told me this would happen, I would so so angry for them to play with my feelings.
“Mrs Shergill can see future right? Did she see this?” I wondered
I always thought she is a superwoman! Moving around like she gives a shit. Well turns out true. She is a superwoman. My god! I’m married to a superwoman. It’s so difficult stop my face from smiling right now whereas sometime back I didn’t know how to smile.
“Mrs. Shergill, thanks for marrying me the way you did.” I laughed
Hearing me mumble something, she woke up and the first thing I see in the morning is her wide smile.
“Good morning Mr Shergill.”
“Good morning Mrs. Shergill.”
“Are you ok?” He asked concerned and playing with her hair.
“Never been better.” She said and put her head in his chest and slept off again.
“We are supposed to meet Divya, Shikhar and Romi in a while. I’m sure Divya won’t be understanding and will continuously knock the door till you open it.” He laughed
“Ughhhh!! I know. But I still feel like sleeping.”
“Hmm maybe 5 mins more?”
“Hmmm” she said and looked at him with a wide smile again.
“What are you thinking?” He asked curious
“That I was such a idiot. I never wanted to get married. That was one of the reasons I looked out for jobs in Mumbai. Obviously, the first one being finding Divi.”
“Really? Why? Weren’t you the one constantly telling me marriage is this and that and you didn’t believe in marriage?”
“I always believed in marriage but I never thought I could find a husband as loving as you. But look, in few months of coming here, I got married.” She laughed
“It’s not like you were pushed to get married but you decided to get married on your own.” He laughed
“Rakshit” She said a bit loudly and hit his arm
“Go shower” She added
“You go. I need to inform Vinay about something.”
“How can I? Call him later. Please?”
“What’s the problem?”
“It’s embarrassing Rakshit please!! I’m looking this side. Go!” She closes her eyes
“You have already seen me enough yesterday Mrs Shergill and I have seen you too. I don’t understand.” He laughed a bit loudly this time
“You’re having fun right?” She just rolled her eyes
“Umm.. I mean... I don’t know” he laughed
“Mr Shergill” she said a bit loudly
“Fine fine. Let’s shower together. Maybe you would be more comfortable then.” He teased again
She hit his arm and this time he quickly made his way to the washroom laughing.
Drishti
“How did I get this lucky?”
I looked at myself. In normal cases, I would be so scared of a commitment but with Rakshit I have no words. I touched my neck feeling him. Yesterday was beautiful. I never thought that I would be so lucky to get the love of my life. He is so much more than I imagined. My family is complete. I have got my Divi back also. Nothing can be better.
“I love you Rakshit” I said out loud to myself and hid my face in the blanket.
Divya’s voice from the other side of the door bought Drishti back.
“Diiiii”
“Divi ruk. 2 minutes.”
Drishti quickly dressed up and put all the clothes together in the laundry basket. Finally she went to open the door and Divya entered in a force.
“Kya Di kitna time lagaya? Kya kar rai thi aap?” Asked Divya as she already made her way on the bed.
“Kuch nai vo bus mai aisehi”
Drishti went near the washroom and informed Rakshit that Divya was already here.
“Di aapne ye kurti ulti pehni hai.” Divya stated
“Oh vo abhi jaldi jaldi mein..” Drishti bit her tongue
“Abhi? Pehle nai pehna tha kya?” She laughed and then understood the meaning of her elder sisters words.
“WHATTTT!!! Aap aur Rakshit? Ayeee hayyeee. Too much romance ha!” Divya teased
“Chup Divi! Vo sun lenge” Drishti blushed
“Arre toh kya. Tell me details. Kab kaise? Kisne first step li? Tell me everything.” Divya said excited
“Kya details doon? Kuch nai aisa ok. Tu jaa ab mera nahna baki hai. Romi ki batayi jagah pe milenge.” She tried to shoo her off
“Come on Di itna kya sharmana. Mai aapki behen hoon.” Divya cribbed
“Good morning Divya!” Rakshit smiled at her as he came fully decked up
“Good morning jeeju!! Raat kaisi thi? I mean neend aayi na aache se?” Divya asked smiling
Rakshit just looked at Drishti whose head was already in her hands.
“Bahut aache se neend aayi. Thanks Divya.” Rakshit smiled
“Baki details toh tumhari behen ne di hi hogi” he added
Drishti looked up at him shocked and glared at him.
“What?” He said as he looked at her
“Kahaan jeeju. Aapko toh pata hai Di kaisi hai. Btw congratulations!! Muje toh laga tha ki aap dono ka kuch nai hoga. Jab maine di ko kaha ki aap Rakshit ko kiss karo vo samaj jayega toh unhone itna overdramatised reaction diya tha ki mai ab aapko kya batau.”
“Toh mat bata na. Jaa muje ready hona hai.” Drishti said all together
“Ayeee hayee meri Di badi ho gai.” Divi hugged Drishti tightly and ran off.
Drishti just wanted the earth to swallow her at the moment. Rakshit laughed out loud enough for her to hear but didn’t say anything to add on her embarrassment.
Soon everyone met near the tree which was supposed to have Psachini’s ashes and took it home in order to think how to destroy the ashes. They believed that rahasya tara could help them and it did. Chiranjeev had mentioned that the ashes have to be kept in a box in the feet of lord shiva. They decided they would do it tomorrow as they had already spent the day looking for the ashes and finding things. All were content that maybe after tomorrow there won’t be any evil power behind their lives.
They all went to Rakshit and Drishti’s room and played cards like a happy family. Today, they felt at peace. They could feel the happiness of a better tomorrow.
Divya and Drishti looked at each other with content smiles. They finally were going to win.
“Mumma Pappa would be so proud of us na.” Divya smiled tearful
“I hope so. We aren’t that late.” Drishti hugged her sister.
“Mai bhi” Romi came in and this time Divya allowed him too
“All the things will be sorted tomorrow my beautiful elder sisters.” He kissed both of them on their cheeks
“I think we should sleep off. Tomorrow is a big day.” Shikhar kept his hand on Divyas
“Hmm” She said
All of them retired for their rooms. As Shikhar and Divya reached their room, Shikhar caught Divya’s wrist as she went ahead to freshen up.
“Kya hua. Tumhe pehle freshen up hona hai?” She asked
“Nahi bas kuch kehna tha.”
“Kaho” Divya walked to him
“Divya, I really like you. I know hamari shadi aise hui. Jo hua. Kya kal sab khatam hone ke baad Hum ek new beginning kar sakte hai?”
Divya took a long pause and looked straight at him
“Shikhar, I wasn’t sure if I could handle a marriage even on the wedding day. Can we start casually? I mean not like a annoying arranged marriage. Like in a relationship maybe?” Divya tried to explain
“Okay girlfriend! You wanna shower together?” laughed Shikhar
“The day when you earn my trust, Boyfriend. Sure that day!” Divya smirked and went to freshen up leaving a blushing Shikhar behind.
Rakshit and Drishti had already moved to the bed to sleep. Drishti hugged Rakshit tightly.
“I’m scared Rakshit.”
“Why?”
“What if things don’t go well?”
“Then we shall find another way. We are all together now. No one can stop us.” He kissed her forehead
“I love you, Rakshit!”
“I love you, Drishti!”
They slept off calmly in each other’s arms wondering why did they take so long to get to each other when everything was just in front of them. They hoped for a better and peaceful tomorrow.
It’s rightly said that good things happen to good people and only to the people who have the patience to wait for the magic to happen.
